Como cada año, Promueve RD festeja una vez más el tan especial día de las madres dominicanas con un evento realizado en su sede en el Parque ‘La Cacciarella’, ubicado en via di Casal Bruciato.
Promueve RD trata de conservar las tradiciones en la comunidad dominicana presente en Roma en fechas importantes para todos los dominicanos, dando a conocerlas a los italianos y demás etnias.
Con un escenario lleno de cultura dominicana con el folklore, espectáculo, música y gastronomía, el evento dio inicio con la bienvenida a los presentes y como es tradición, con la ceremonia de bendición por el Vice Parroco Alfonso Guijarra, el cual además agració la ceremonia, con algunas palabras del padre de la patria Juan Pablo Duarte.
La festividad prosiguió con un programa lleno de espectáculo en vivo con el concierto de Perico Ripiao (Merengue Típico) y la exhibición del cuerpo de baile Areito, todo para rendir un homenaje a las Madres Dominicanas.
La Asociación dio un reconocimiento a la Madre del Año, en particular a una mamá de la comunidad Dominicana, la señora Brigida Toribio Minaya, propietaria de un Salón de Belleza que lleva adelante con sus hijas hace ya más de 20 años.
Con este reconocimiento Promueve RD, desea incentivar a la Madre Dominicana y a la comunidad en general a resaltar los valores del emprendimiento en la mujer.
En el evento participaron no solo ciudadanos dominicanos, sino también amigos de la comunidad latinoamericana, como Venezuela, Perú, Ecuador, y Honduras, siendo estos últimos el País Invitado de esta edición de la Fiesta de las Madres, para valorizar los lazos de amistad y culturales que unen a los pueblos de latinoamerica.
La Comunidad Hondureña residente en Roma, participó además con una oferta gastronómica que ha encantado a los presentes con sus ricos sabores y sus trajes típicos.
